Five full-day Saturdays on the land. Soil, microbiology, plants, water, and how it all fits together, in a small group of up to 15, taught by coaching rather than lecture.

Curiosity is the only prerequisite. You don’t need to own land.

Each day builds on the last, from the ground up. By the end, you are reading a whole landscape, piece-by-piece.
Soils
Soil basics, physical, chemical, and biological, then out to the field to sample and walk a transect.
Microbes and compost
See the soil food web under the microscope and learn how compost builds it.
Plants
Plant succession, plant families, and what plants tell you about deficiencies and pests.
Water
How water moves across a landscape, and how to slow it, spread it, and sink it.
Closing the loop
Soil testing, animals, and putting the whole system together on your own land.
